Great point, Salim. When I think of it that way, execs have to navigate politics as well while filtering it through their own leadership styles. Sensitivity is definitely an important consideration of leading and being thought-provoking. Of course, there have been plenty of writers, philosophers, and forward thinkers throughout history ostracized by their societies for being too thought-provoking. Then again, a big part of leadership is standing up for what you believe, even if it's unpopular.
